Why We Compound LDN—And What That Means for Your Results
You’ve heard of Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)—but did you know there’s no commercial version available? Every prescription of LDN is custom-compounded, and that’s not a drawback—it’s a benefit.
At Preston’s Pharmacy, we specialize in compounding LDN to fit your body’s specific needs. That means you’re not stuck with a one-size-fits-all dose. You get a formulation that’s as unique as your health journey.
Why Doesn’t a Commercial LDN Exist?
LDN is a low-dose version of naltrexone, a drug originally approved for opioid addiction at much higher doses (50 mg). But for chronic inflammation, autoimmune support, or pain relief, research and clinical experience point to much smaller doses—typically between 0.5 mg and 4.5 mg. Since these lower doses aren’t mass-produced, they must be prepared by a compounding pharmacy.
Why Quality Matters
LDN must be compounded with precision. Even small inconsistencies in dose or filler ingredients can affect how you feel. At Preston’s Pharmacy, we use top-tier ingredients, validated processes, and rigorous quality checks to ensure every capsule or liquid is exactly what your body expects.
